Here are 3 easy fixes to keep your business cruising.

1. How your checkout process is losing you $$$

Some people think making a purchase is like pressing a button in an elevator—

One simple click and you get from point A to point B. 🛗

In reality, making a purchase is more like climbing a big staircase.

Each step is a conscious effort, and your buyers could turn back at any point in the process, for any reason, and go back down.

There are plenty of cases where people start checking out and they get distracted, or maybe they don’t have their card on them.

The more steps you measure, the better you can help those people finish.

If you sell anything on a funnel, not having 2-step checkout prevents you from identifying abandoned cart situations, which means you’ll never know how close people came to buying…

…Or who to follow up with.

Fix that today and change to 2-step checkout forms.

2. Turn “maybe later” into “YES NOW”

If you’re selling via calls, I’m sure you’re all too familiar with the phrases “follow up with me” and “maybe later.”

It’s never what you want to hear, but what do you actually do with these calls?

You need to add these folks back into a nurture sequence.

And you need to keep nurturing until they buy.

This keeps you top-of-mind and allows you to continually deliver them value throughout the dreaded in-between times—the period where they’re most likely to forget about you or move on.

Don’t let them forget about you.

We nurture folks until we get a definitive “stop” or “no.”

That way, no one who might want to buy gets left behind.

3. The Silent Revenue Killer

I call this the Silent Revenue Killer… 🔪 

Because if you haven’t fixed this hole in your process, you’re losing out on thousands in MRR every single month without even realizing it.

If someone’s payment fails, especially in a subscription or SaaS space, you NEED to follow up with them.

Automate a follow-up campaign, or manually get in touch with these people.

 It’s seriously worth taking time out of your day to call them.

There are a million reasons why somebody’s payment could fail.

In our follow-ups with folks who have failed payments, we’ve found that only 10-20% actually wanted to cancel.

That’s crazy!

If you’re not following up, you’re seriously losing out on revenue and loyal customers.

TL;DR: Do these 3 things today.

  1. Use 2-Step checkout forms: This isn't just a tweak — it's an essential upgrade to better understand and assist your customers through the buying process.

  2. Nurture until they buy: Every "maybe later" is an opportunity in disguise. Keep the conversation going, keep providing value, and transform hesitation into action.

  3. Follow up with failed payments: Don’t let failed payments slip through the cracks. A follow-up here can mean the difference between lost revenue and retained customers.
