Ever found yourself staring at your to-do list, muttering under your breath, "If only there were more hours in the day… more days in the year... THEN I could smash those targets, THEN I could finally get ahead..."

Well this year, the universe is tossing us a bone – an extra 24 hours, neatly packaged as Leap Day.

That's right, this Leap Year hands us an extra 24 hours on a silver platter…

And let's face it, in the hustle of hitting KPIs, chasing down leads, and pushing out projects, who couldn't use a little more time??

Leap Day is the epitome of a "false constraint"— a productivity hack I’ve been using to get stuff done since my days of homework and essays.

So, as we gear up for tomorrow, we're not just asking, "What will I do with an extra day?"

We're strategizing: How can I leverage this single day to leap miles ahead of where I was?

It's time to turn "if only" into reality.

Today in 5 minutes or less:

I’m going to tell you my secret to actually getting stuff done.

It’s stupidly simple, but it works.

You know how Black Friday turns the shopping world upside down, driving sales through the roof? Or how businesses ramp up their game as the end of the month, quarter, or year approaches?

It’s not like Black Friday is intrinsically different from any other day on the calendar…

No, it’s different because we gave it meaning.

These aren't just random spikes in productivity or sales. They're the result of what we call false constraints.

False constraints are essentially deadlines or targets we set, not because they're dictated by some external force, but because they challenge us to…

1. Push harder

2. Think more creatively

3. Drive towards a goal with more determination than we might have on an ordinary day

They're like setting a personal record to beat in a game you've created for yourself.

Think about it – even if a Black Friday sale doesn't shatter every record, it'll still outperform a regular Friday. Why?

Because the anticipation, the buildup, the sheer energy directed towards that day makes it a beacon for action.

And this isn't just about sales. It's about any goal you set under a constraint that compels you to act more decisively and with greater focus. 🎯

The magic of false constraints lies in their power to amplify our efforts.

We’re essentially tricking our brains into working extra hard… Giving an ordinary day extraordinary meaning.

They create a sense of urgency that propels us forward, squeezing more out of us than we ever thought possible.

That’s my plan for Feb 29th.

The calendar's own version of a bonus round.

This day, occurring only once every four years, is a perfect example of a false constraint ripe for the taking.

Think of these extra 24 hours as a strategic advantage.

It's a chance to do something extraordinary, to make a leap in your business or personal life that you wouldn't have otherwise…

But the real power of Leap Day comes from treating it not just as an additional day in the year, but as a milestone for exceptional achievement.

This Leap Day, challenge yourself to view it through the lens of opportunity.
