Which type of stuck are you?

Which type of stuck are you?

Hint: it’s one of these 4 things 🪤

It started as a napkin sketch.

But the more I used it, the more I realized… This is the framework I wish I had years ago.

It explained everything.
Why I burned out.
Why things got easier.
Why we scaled without breaking.

It’s not a tactic.
It’s a flywheel.

And it works.

Let me show you how to make growth simple again.

Today in 6 minutes or less:

✔️ You Have a Role Problem

✔️ The 4 “Entrepreneur Modes” No One’s Talking About

✔️ How the Flywheel Builds Itself (If You Let It!)

🤷 You Have a Role Problem

That’s right. You don’t have a motivation problem… You have a role problem.

I used to think scaling meant doing more. More offers. More meetings. More tools. More hustle.

But more isn’t always better.

Sometimes it’s just heavier.

And if you’re not careful, you end up building a business you don’t even want to run.

That’s where I was headed.

Until I started noticing a pattern…

Every time we made a leap forward—added revenue, gained time back, kept clients longer—it came down to four shifts.

And every time I got stuck, it wasn’t because I was lazy.

It was because I was operating from the wrong identity.

These four roles make up the Margin Flywheel.

Not personality types. Not Enneagram stuff.
Just functional roles every entrepreneur needs to rotate through to operate in a place of balance.

👷‍♂️ The 4 “Entrepreneur Modes” No One’s Talking About

ARCHITECT → You decide where you’re going.

Architects decide where you’re going and how you want to get there.

This is where you say the big NOs. You build fences (flexible boundaries) and walls (non-negotiables). You don’t just plan; you constrain. Not because you’re scared of growth, but because you know clarity beats complexity.

Draw a map before building the road. Not everything gets built. That’s the point.

What you say no to is just as important as what you say yes to.

BUILDER → You stabilize the road.

This is about creating the systems, automations, and processes that keep everything from shaking apart at the first bump.

Builders don’t just eliminate. They automate and stabilize.

They take the Architect’s vision and ask:

  • What can we take off our plates?

  • What can be systemized?

  • What keeps this stable when we’re offline?

This is where you create systems. It's the part that feels boring to high-vision founders… but this is the gear that makes everything else sustainable.

Most people wait until they’re drowning to build the raft.

Builders build it while the sun’s still shining.

LEADER → You don’t carry everything yourself.

Here’s where most people get stuck.

They think leadership is about making the best decisions. Being the most “in the weeds.” Proving they’re the smartest person in the room.

But the real job of the leader?
Empowerment.

This is where you delegate. You give folks the entire Vision, Resources, and Definition of Done.

You empower people with context and clarity so you can stop being the bottleneck.

If the Architect dreams it, and the Builder systemizes it, the Leader asks:

  • How do I make this live without me?

Give away outcomes, not just tasks. Create a culture that grows without your fingerprints on every piece.

You’ll know you’re leading well when things get done without you doing them… and done better.

That’s maturity.

MESSENGER → You share the story.

This one’s the most uncomfortable, especially for founders who hate “sales.”

But if you care about the problem you solve (and I mean really care) then you have a responsibility to be loud about it.

Not annoying. Not manipulative.

But clear. Consistent. And visible.

If you believe the problem you solve matters, it should bother you how many people don’t even know there’s an answer.

That’s the heart of the Messenger role.

You’re not “bragging.” You’re not even just “marketing.”
You’re telling the truth loudly so more people can benefit.

These four roles create serious momentum.

And when you do them in order, you create margin.

🔁 How the Flywheel Builds Itself (If You Let It!)

It looks like this:

You Architect the vision →
You Build systems to stabilize it →
You Lead by empowering others to carry it →
You step into the Messenger and amplify it →
…and you return to the Architect, even clearer than before.

And each rotation buys back more of your time, your peace, and your clarity.

You don’t need to master all four at once.

You just need to know which one you’re neglecting.

Listen: Flywheels aren’t sexy. But they compound.

The first spin is the hardest.

You’ll be designing and doubting. Systemizing in the dark. Empowering before you feel ready. Shouting into the void. 🙃

But then?

That little momentum loop starts spinning on its own.

Your systems create margin.
Your margin creates perspective.
Your perspective lets you design again — better.
And the flywheel keeps turning. 🔁

Not because you hustled harder.
But because you stayed aligned, empowered people, and told the truth about what you built. 👷‍♂️

So, If You’re Feeling Stuck...

Maybe it’s not a burnout issue.
Maybe it’s not a revenue issue.
Maybe it’s just that your flywheel is out of sync.

  • You’ve been building with no clear architecture.

  • Leading without clarity.

  • Selling with no conviction.

  • Designing but never delegating.

You don’t need a new funnel. You need alignment across these four gears.

Tag yourself: which of the four are you in right now?

  • Architect (planning + saying no)

  • Builder (creating systems)

  • Leader (empowering others)

  • Messenger (telling the story)
